Every one of us faces crucial decisions in life—those pivotal fork-in-the-road, “Y” moments where the path splits and we must choose which direction to take. For veterans, these moments often arise in the most challenging and uncertain of circumstances. The path we end up taking in the face of a “Y” dilemma is the result of a gut feeling, an internal compass that tells them it’s the right thing to do, even when it’s difficult or dangerous.
In the military, decisions are often made alone, in the face of immense pressure. These choices are not just about protecting our country; they are about protecting our way of life. And the stories behind these decisions are deeply meaningful.
