Will anyone join Roland Zaleski on the walk? A number of veterans have expressed interest in walking a portion of the trail with Ron. All individuals are welcome. How can I help other then financialy? Call (305)852-4782 to find out what job you could do to help raise awareness, from writting letters to setting up events and all that goes in between. How can I find out about his progress? Progress reports and pictures of the walk are regularly updated. Is Ronald Zaleski raising money for veterans? Where is the money going? Ron is asking for contribution of $21.74 (one cent for each mile he is walking) for his non-profit organization, The Long Walk Home. The money is used to raise awareness through mailings, lectures, and media events. It is also used for the pilot program, including the facilitators and housing for the program. He is making his own equipment including a backpack, tent, sleeping bag and rainwear. He will carry food and water. |
